Starting in 2024, Bright Futures Initiative has hosted a career-skills workshop on behalf of SASC for a group of 50+ Afghan women every year. This event also includes a closing speech from a guest speaker, designed to inspire and demonstrate the importance of building and advocating for female rights, particularly in the workspace. Coming from an oppressive regime notorious for restrictive female rights, this is a powerful opportunity for participants to rebuild confidence, strengthen professional identity, and envision new pathways forward. This presentation will feature the building of soft skills and life skills useful for independent development, as well as assistance for individual assimilation in Indonesia. Since 2025, we have also begun hosting interview practices, as well as reviewing and editing participants' resumes to assist with job searching.

 

This year’s 2026 event will be held on the 12th July. This event is not open to the public.
